Today I failed at a joke and pissed off a lot of people because they thought I was seriously saying that Amazon.com uses Smart Start cereal as packing material.

Some of them wrote me mean, condescending letters about how incorrect I was. I was actually just kidding, but I wasn’t sure how to respond to the mean letters.  My first instinct is to write and ask if everything is OK at home.

I still think cereal samples doubling as packing material and scaring unsuspecting DVD purchasers is funny.
